Preventative Care:

Prevention is key, that’s why annual exams are so important for our pets. They allow us detect problems early and come up with the best treatment plan. Vaccinations and parasite prevention are also key players in keeping our pets healthy. To give new puppies and kittens a perfect start we offer puppy and kitten packages that get them through their first year of basic preventative care! Each package includes:
  • Two physical exams
  • All first year vaccines
  • Parasite fecal testing
  • Two de-wormers
  • Kittens will receive feline leukemia and FIV testing
We offer ISO microchip implantation with lifetime registration! Our microchips work internationally in case your pet ever goes overseas.
Parasite Prevention
We offer several products for parasite prevention including topical Revolution, Seresto flea/tick collar, chewable Nexgard, and chewable Heartgard. We require a current yearly exam for the purchase of any medication, and a negative heartworm test yearly for medications that prevent heartworms.

Golden Retriever Puppy Dressed as a Vet — Pet Care in Vancouver, WA
Many pet treats and toys are designed with dental care in mind, but are not as effective as daily brushing with pet safe toothpaste! Annual dental exams are recommended to assess your pet’s teeth before they become a problem. Left untreated, plaque and tartar buildup can lead to gingivitis, periodontal disease, which may even lead to cardiac disease. Most pets require a dental cleaning by 3 to 6 years of age, with small breed animals typically needing cleanings more frequently than their larger counterparts.
Dentistry services include:
  • Full oral exam
  • Full mouth digital dental radiography
  • Dental prophylaxis (cleaning) and polishing
  • Fluoride application
  • Dental extractions
  • Growth removal and biopsy
For pets that absolutely will not tolerate tooth brushing, we offer a water additive to help with plaque control and/or the prescription food DH Dental Health by Purina for cats and dogs which promotes dental health and is accepted by the VOHC.
